National Piano Competition of Chatou

Regulations and Fees

1. The competition is open to all pianists of all nationalities with no age limit.

2. All pieces will be played from memory and without repeats, unless otherwise indicated.

3. In Excellence's degree, the jury will consider the selection of works in the elaboration of the programme.

4. Application for entry implies the acceptance of the rules and the presence of the candidate at the date and time, notice of which will be given approximately one month in advance. Please inform the secretariat should you not receive an invitation.

5. No claim will be accepted.

6. Contest dates are listed on the site, on the flyer and the contest poster.

7. The results will be given at the end of the tests of each level and the diplomas will be handed out. For the winners (1st and 2nd named), the diplomas and awards will be pressented during the recital.

8. The Jury reserves the right to interrupt a candidate during his/her performance.

9. WIn case of an insufficient enrolment for a level, the test may be cancelled and the fee refunded.

10. If there is an excess of entries for a level, the test might be carried out a different date.

11. The decision of the Jury is final.

12. Candidates are required to inform the secretariat if they are unable to attend.

13. The tests are open to the public.

14. If an incorrect piece is played, the candidate will be listened to but not rewarded.

15. Any incomplete application form is considered null and void.

16. The posting of candidates by their parents on "YouTube" and other sites is authorized by the Contest provided that the exact award and the level presented are clearly stated.

17. By registering, candidates and their managers agree that the Contest can use their images (photos, videos) in connection with this Contest (the Contest website "YouTube", etc.).

18. In case of a claim, only the French version of the regulations will be applicable.
